The joining model
Athos Pilgrimage does not sell or guarantee the transatlantic itinerary; the service boundary is SKG pickup. The only fixed Athos Pilgrimage service boundary is the confirmed pickup at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia” (SKG).
Step 1 — arrange your journey to Thessaloniki
Use Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) as a planning reference if it suits you, but you are free to use another airport or surface route. Athos Pilgrimage does not imply a direct flight, a specific airline or a guaranteed connection.
Step 2 — protect the pickup window
Because this is a long-haul origin, build a generous buffer for connections, baggage, border formalities and time-zone recovery. Reaching Thessaloniki before pickup day can reduce the risk of a missed group transfer.
Step 3 — meet the group at SKG
The exact meeting time and instructions are confirmed for the pilgrimage date. The organised Athos Pilgrimage service begins at the airport pickup and continues toward the Athos gateway stage.
Step 4 — verify permit and entry requirements
Mount Athos entry is regulated. Check the current permit procedure and your own Greece/Schengen travel requirements before committing to non-refundable transport.
What this guide deliberately does not claim
It does not publish live fares, airline schedules, visa advice or a promise of direct service. Those details depend on travel date, passport, airline and routing and must be checked with the relevant provider or authority.
